MACRO PHOTOGRAPHY UNIT
Students learn about macro, portrait, and creative photography. Wildlife, nature, urban and school settings are photographed and printed for school and district displays. Learning about design skills such as value, line, contrast, form, and composition is essential for aspiring photography students. Photojournalism and the powerful impact of a still photo is brought to question and discussed. On the first days of class, students are asked to reflect and think about how photography has changed our perception of the world.
